Training Information
Nara Training, where and when you need it.
Real experience matters. We offer a variety of nationally accredited training options across multiple industries. Our dedicated group of trainers are here to make your training fun and easy to understand!
Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)
Nara Training recognises a person’s current skills and knowledge, no matter how, when or where the learning has occurred. We acknowledge RPL is an important assessment pathway and may reduce the study time required to obtain a qualification. The onus is on the student to provide sufficient and timely evidence to support their RPL application.
Assessment Procedures & Feedback
You will be required to complete practical tasks and a knowledge test during your course. Throughout the course and upon conclusion, you’ll be provided with feedback. Participants will be issued with a Statement of Attainment upon successful completion of the course unit.
For High-Risk courses, once you are deemed competent, your assessor will issue you with a Statement of Attainment and an Interim Licence. All relevant documentation will be provided directly to WorkSafe (approx. six weeks). Where you are deemed as not yet competent, you will have a further two weeks to be re-assessed. Your trainer will discuss options with you.
Assessor Qualifications
All Nara Trainers are required to have the most up to date Certificate IV – Training and Assessing, in addition to holding all qualifications relevant to the course they are delivering.
Safe Learning Environment
We pride ourselves on providing a safe and healthy learning environment. All plant and equipment is regularly tested to strict standards and adhere to all safety regulations. All training areas are kept to a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene.
Any misuse of equipment, disregard for personal safety, harassment, discrimination and/or bullying of any kind will not be tolerated in the learning environment and any perpetrator may be asked to leave the premises immediately. Students who have been asked to leave the premises due to misconduct will not be eligible for a refund and will be required to pay any outstanding amounts.
Complaints
All complaints and appeals will be managed by Nara training through the process of natural justice and procedural fairness. Complaints and appeals can be submitted either formally or informally and will all be addressed and managed by the General Manager, Training.
Cancellation and refunds
All course fees are non-refundable once the program has commenced, or bookings have been made.
Unique Student Identifier (USI)
All students are required to have a student number, this is called a USI.
If you don’t have a USI, log into www.usi.gov.au to apply for one or we can set up a USI on your behalf. When you arrive at Nara Training for your course, we’ll have you complete the authorisation form. You will need to bring one of the following forms of identification:
- Driver’s licence
- Medicare card
- Australian/Non-Australian Passport
- Birth Certificate
- Citizenship Certificate
