The following Units of Competency will be covered:

• RIICOM201E Communicate in the workplace
• RIIWHS201E Work safely and follow WHS policies and procedures
• RIIWHS205E Control traffic with stop-slow bat
• RIIWHS302E Implement traffic management plans

Entry Requirements

• Participants must hold current driver’s licence
• Participants must hold a White Card

Certification

Upon successful completion of the course, you will be issued with:

• Statement of Attainment
• Main Roads WA photo ID (valid for 3 years)
• Main Roads Certificate of accreditation 

Course Overview

This course includes Basic Worksite Traffic Management (BWTM) as well as Traffic Controller (TC)

• The course provides the skills and knowledge required to safely implement a Traffic Management Plan for works on roads and to safely and efficiently control traffic in a variety of situations. ​

Participants will undergo training in:

• Implementing a traffic management plan
• Planning and preparation
• Setting out, monitoring, and closing down traffic guidance scheme

What to bring/wear:

• Form of photographic ID
• Appropriate protective clothing and footwear (no thongs/singlets)
• Hi-vis gear and hard hats provided if required
