What is a high-risk work licence?
- A high-risk work licence (HRWL) is a nationally accredited license that allows someone to perform high-risk work
- A high-risk work licence (HRWL) is required when carrying out certain high-risk work.
- A HRWL is valid for five years and is recognized across Australia
- To get a HRWL, you must complete training and assessment by a registered training organization (RTO) and a WorkSafe registered assessor
- Under the model Work Health and Safety (WHS) Regulations you, as a worker, must have a licence before a person conducting a business or undertaking can direct you to undertake high risk work.
