Metalliferous Mining Operations (Open Cut)

Metalliferous Mining Operations trainees are involved in extracting, loading and transporting materials which include coal, metal ore, mineral sand and rock for construction purposes. As an Open-Cut and Surface Miner, trainees will extract the coal, ore, sand and rock using mining machines, drill and blast methods, ripping (eg bulldozer) or dredging - the material is loaded and transported to a stockpile at a treatment plant.
